Image
Bullying happens around us everyday in and out of school. Bullying can occur online or face to face as well. A person can be bullied physically or even verbally. Bullying is most definitely a known problem that occurs all around the world. It can be extremely harmful to children. As a future teacher there needs to be more awareness brought to bullying and ways we can stop it. After watching the movie "Bully" it was extremely heartbreaking to watch. Over 13 million American kids will be bullied at school, online, on the bus, at home, through their cellphones and right on their streets of their towns. The documentary starts with a father speaking about his son Tyler who committed suicide due to bullying. It also speaks about different children and their stories about bullying.                                                        In this world today school violence is an extremely important topic. It is important as future educators that we are accepting and make sure our students have a voice and are being accepted. While watching "The Laramie Project" I found it horrible to see how a student was tortured and left to dead because of his sexuality. This is an example of the issue with how many people do not accept others and how this needs to be changed. People should never be treated differently because of their sexuality or gender. It is important for students to be able to feel safe in their school and classroom. The article "Hate in Schools" states "Two main areas to focus on should be making sure kids who were targeted feel safe and delving into why the perpetrators of the bias incidents are acting that way"(Vara-Orta, 2018). It is extremely important as future educators we make sure our students ar
